ובני ראובן בוכרא דישראל ארום בוכרא הוא ובאפסותיה קדושתיה כד סליק לדרגשא דאבוי אשתקילת מניה ואתיהיבת בכירותיה לבנוי דיוסף בר ישראל דלא לאתיחסא בנוי דראובן לבכירותא:
lbkyrwtha drawbn bnwy lathykhsa dla yshral br dywsp lbnwy bkyrwthyh wathyhybth mnyh ashthqylth dabwy ldrgsha slyq kd qdwshthyh wbapswthyh hwa bwkra arwm dyshral bwkra rawbn wbny
The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be listed according to the birthright.

מטול דיהודה אתגבר באחוי אשתקילת ברם מלכותא מן ראובן ואתיהיבת ליהודה דהוא גברא ומלכותא מניה אוף לוי הוה חסידא ולא חבו בעגלא ואישתקילת כהונתא רבתא מבנוי דראובן ומטולתהון מכלהון בוכריא ואתיהיבת לאהרן ובנוי ומטרת קודשא לליואי ובכורותא ליוסף:
lywsp wbkwrwtha llyway qwdsha wmTrth wbnwy lahrn wathyhybth bwkrya mklhwn wmTwlthhwn drawbn mbnwy rbtha khwntha wayshthqylth begla khbw wla khsyda hwh lwy awp mnyh wmlkwtha gbra dhwa lyhwdh wathyhybth rawbn mn mlkwtha brm ashthqylth bakhwy athgbr dyhwdh mTwl
For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and from him came the prince; but the birthright was Joseph’s)—

בני ראובן בוכרא דישראל חנוך ופלוא חצרון וכרמי:
wkrmy khtsrwn wplwa khnwk dyshral bwkra rawbn bny
the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

ובני יואל שמעיה בריה גוג בריה שמעי בריה:
bryh shmey bryh gwg bryh shmeyh ywal wbny
The sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

מיכה בריה ראיה בריה בעל בריה:
bryh bel bryh rayh bryh mykh
Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,

בארה בריה הוא בארה נביא דאוביל בגלותא תלגת פלנאסר מלכא דאתור והוא הוה אמרכול לשבטא דראובן:
drawbn lshbTa amrkwl hwh whwa dathwr mlka plnasr thlgth bglwtha dawbyl nbya barh hwa bryh barh
and Beerah his son, whom Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive. He was prince of the Reubenites.

ואחוהי לגנסתהון לאתיחסא לגניסתהון די ממנן עליהון לרישא יעיאל וזכריהו:
wzkryhw yeyal lrysha elyhwn mmnn dy lgnysthhwn lathykhsa lgnsthhwn wakhwhy
His brothers by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was listed: the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,

ובלע בר עזז בר שמע בר יואל הוא יתיב בערוער ועד נבו ועד מישר מעון:
mewn myshr wed nbw wed berwer ythyb hwa ywal br shme br ezz br wble
and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who lived in Aroer, even to Nebo and Baal Meon;

ולמדינחא יתיב עד מעלנא למדברא ומן נהר פרת ארום גיתיהון סגיעו בארעא דגלעד:
dgled barea sgyew gythyhwn arwm prth nhr wmn lmdbra melna ed ythyb wlmdynkha
and he lived eastward even to the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, because their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

וביומי שאול עבדו קרבא עם הונגראי ונפלו בידיהון ויתיבו במשכניהון על כל אפי מדנח גלעד:
gled mdnkh apy kl el bmshknyhwn wythybw bydyhwn wnplw hwngray em qrba ebdw shawl wbywmy
In the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand; and they lived in their tents throughout all the land east of Gilead.

ובני גד לקבליהון יתיבו בארעא מתנן עד סלוכיה:
slwkyh ed mthnn barea ythybw lqblyhwn gd wbny
The sons of Gad lived beside them in the land of Bashan to Salecah:

יואל ריש סנהדרין ושפם רב בית אולפנא ויעני ושפט דיני במתנן:
bmthnn dyny wshpT wyeny awlpna byth rb wshpm snhdryn rysh ywal
Joel the chief, Shapham the second, Janai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13
ואחוהון לבית אבהתהון מיכאל ומשלם ושבע ויורי ויעכן וזיע ועבר שבעתיהון נגודיא:
ngwdya shbethyhwn webr wzye wyekn wywry wshbe wmshlm mykal abhthhwn lbyth wakhwhwn
Their brothers of their fathers’ houses: Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, and Eber, seven.

אלין בני אביחיל בר חורי בר ירוח בר גלעד בר מיכאל בר ישישי בר יחדו בר בוז:
bwz br ykhdw br yshyshy br mykal br gled br yrwkh br khwry br abykhyl bny alyn
These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;

אחי בר עבדיאל בר גוני מתמנא לרישא לבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn lbyth lrysha mthmna gwny br ebdyal br akhy
Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of their fathers’ houses.
16
ויתיבו בגלעד במתנן ובכפרנהא ובכל פרוילי מישרא על מפקניהון:
mpqnyhwn el myshra prwyly wbkl wbkprnha bmthnn bgled wythybw
They lived in Gilead in Bashan and in its towns, and in all the pasture lands of Sharon as far as their borders.

כלהון אתיחסו ביומי יותם מלך שבטא דבית יהודה וביומי ירבעם מלכא דישראל:
dyshral mlka yrbem wbywmy yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk ywthm bywmy athykhsw klhwn
All these were listed by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

בני ראובן וגד ופלגות שבטא דמנשה מן גברי חילא גוברין נטלי תריסין ומזרזי סיפין ונגדי קשתא ומאולפי קרבא ארבעין וארבעא אלפין ושבע מאה ואשתין נפקי חילא:
khyla npqy washthyn mah wshbe alpyn warbea arbeyn qrba wmawlpy qshtha wngdy sypyn wmzrzy thrysyn nTly gwbryn khyla gbry mn dmnshh shbTa wplgwth wgd rawbn bny
The sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, able to shoot with bow, and skillful in war, were forty-four thousand seven hundred sixty that were able to go out to war.

ועבדו קרבא עם הונגראיי ויטור ונפיש ונודב:
wnwdb wnpysh wyTwr hwngrayy em qrba webdw
They made war with the Hagrites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
20
וסיעו עליהון אחיהון בית ישראל ואתמסרו בידיהון הונגראיי וכל דעמהון ארום קדם יי צלו בקרבא וקבל צלותהון ארום התרחיצו בממריה:
bmmryh hthrkhytsw arwm tslwthhwn wqbl bqrba tslw yy qdm arwm demhwn wkl hwngrayy bydyhwn wathmsrw yshral byth akhyhwn elyhwn wsyew
They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he answered them because they put their trust in him.
21
ושבו גיתיהון וגמליהון חמשין אלפין ועאן מאתן וחמשין אלפין וחמרין תרין אלפין ונפשין דבני נשא מאה אלפין:
alpyn mah nsha dbny wnpshyn alpyn thryn wkhmryn alpyn wkhmshyn mathn wean alpyn khmshyn wgmlyhwn gythyhwn wshbw
They took away their livestock: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand.

ארום קטילין סגיעין נפלו ארום מן מימרא דיי קרבא ויתיבו באתריהון עד זמן גלותא דסנחריב מלכא דאתור:
dathwr mlka dsnkhryb glwtha zmn ed bathryhwn wythybw qrba dyy mymra mn arwm nplw sgyeyn qTylyn arwm
For many fell slain, because the war was of God. They lived in their place until the captivity.

ובני פלגות שבטא דמנשה יתיבו בארעא מן מתנן עד מישר חרמון וטור מסריפרוי וטור חרמון הנון סגיעו:
sgyew hnwn khrmwn wTwr msryprwy wTwr khrmwn myshr ed mthnn mn barea ythybw dmnshh shbTa plgwth wbny
The children of the half-tribe of Manasseh lived in the land. They increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.

ואלין רישי בית אבהתהון עפר וישעי ואליאל ועזריאל וירמיה והודויה ויחדיאל גוברין גברי חילא אנשי שמהן מתמנן רישין לבית אבהתהון:
abhthhwn lbyth ryshyn mthmnn shmhn anshy khyla gbry gwbryn wykhdyal whwdwyh wyrmyh wezryal walyal wyshey epr abhthhwn byth ryshy walyn
These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel—mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses.

ושקרו באלהי אבהתהון וטעו בתר טעות עמי ארעא דשיצי יי מן קדמיהון:
qdmyhwn mn yy dshytsy area emy Tewth bthr wTew abhthhwn balhy wshqrw
They trespassed against the God of their fathers, and played the prostitute after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed before them.

וגרי מימרא דאלהא דישראל ית תגראת פול מלכא דארם וית תגראת תלגת פלגסר מלכא דאתור ואגלנון לשבטא דראובן ולשבטא דגד ולפלגות שבטא דמנשה ואיתיאנון לחלח וחבור טורי קבלא ונהר גוזן עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed gwzn wnhr qbla Twry wkhbwr lkhlkh waythyanwn dmnshh shbTa wlplgwth dgd wlshbTa drawbn lshbTa waglnwn dathwr mlka plgsr thlgth thgrath wyth darm mlka pwl thgrath yth dyshral dalha mymra wgry
So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried away the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.

ובני עמרם אהרן ומשה ומרים ובני אהרן נדב ואביהוא אלעזר ואיתמר:

ויוחנן אוליד ית עזריה הוא דאתמנא לכהן בביתא די בנא שלמה בירושלם:
byrwshlm shlmh bna dy bbytha lkhn dathmna hwa ezryh yth awlyd wywkhnn
